Judy Ann will keep Ploning's playdate

Three local movies are opening on April 30: Star Cinema's When Love Begins, Viva Films' Ikaw Pa Rin and Panoramanila's Ploning. According to lead actress Judy Ann Santos, Ploning will not give up its playdate even if there's an offer from a movie production company to distribute it if it will postpone opening by one week." Targeted to screen for one month during her birth month, May 11 being her natal day, it's planned to open on April 30. She intends to stick with the original playdate. She said without reservation, "I'm tired of promises that were never kept. The producers of Ploning did everything that we agreed to do so I will keep my part of the deal."

This included a chef to prepare her South Beach Diet. She felt very happy when this chef flew with her to Cuyo, Palawan. She also got four soldiers for close-in security. They were always with her, two in front and two at the back. Judy Ann said she felt like a true actress for the first time. Although Ploning is an indie movie, its production values are big studio standard. Debuting director Dante Nico Garcia is used to Star Cinema production methods. Spending P20 million for its production, Ploning has big name stars, a virgin location, overland and underwater cinematography (by Charlie Peralta and Marissa Florendo respectively), and uninterrupted shooting because cast and crew were marooned in the island.
